We would like to invite all financial members of the Tuggeranong Community Council to come to the AGM to be held after the General meeting on
Tuesday 5 September 2017.
The Tuggeranong Community Council is currently running a petition about re-routing buses along Anketell Street Tuggeranong. Petitions can currently be signed at any of the cafes in Anketell Street and we are working to put in online.
On Wednesday the 9 August (Week 4 Term 3) at 1:00-3:30pm the Tuggeranong Community Council’s Youth Engagement Committee will be holding a forum to find out from the youth of Tuggeranong what they think, what they would like to find out, and have done about a series of topics relating to Tuggeranong
The Minsiter is asked whether we can we better support NSW fire monitoring around the ACT to ensure we have adequate information on future possible bushfires in the ACT?
The Tuggeranong community has written to the Minsiter for police over concerns about recent gun violence and arson to vehicles in Kambah, Isabella Plains and in nearby Waramanga in recent weeks attributed to motorcycle gangs
31 Jul 17 – Climate Café is a relaxed gathering of people interested in discussing ideas and questions on climate change and related topics. It cuts across disciplines, is inclusive, jargon-free and fun. The approach is modelled on dialogue events such as Café Philosophic and Café Scientifique. Lunch – pizza and drinks provided. Registration via Eventbrite is essential.
In 2012 I was privileged to liaise with Val Jeffery for his nomination for a “Footsteps to Follow” Award for Tuggeranong . I was so taken with Val’s life story, I requested Val write it down and send it to me as I was on the panel for this project. I hope you enjoy Val’s storey
