Community Consultation Dear Tuggeranong resident,

You are invited to comment on the attached “Conversations with the community” a draft communications strategy. (scroll down/read more to preview online or click here to download the document as a PDF)

The aim of the strategy is to:

assist the TCC Executive in communicating better, with you and other interested people, and
inform the TCC Executive how it should communicate with government and other organisations on your behalf.

Your contributions will be reflected in the final communication strategy, for endorsement by the TCC membership.

Comments for the strategy will be closed on 25 March 2010.

Proposed Southern Cemetery – Discussion Paper and Community Consulation Program

The Tuggeranong Community Council encourages residents to participate in the ACT Government’s community consultation program on proposals for a new Southern Cemetery. A Discussion Paper has been prepared to address issues raised in earlier consultations with the community. It provides an outline of independent research conducted to assess site suitability against an extensive range of planning considerations.

Tuggeranong residents are encouraged to submit comments in relation to the proposed cemetery development in southern Canberra and the Discussion Paper.

Tuggeranong Community Council Inc. (TCC) is an incorporated, voluntary, not for profit, non political, community based association operating within the Tuggeranong District of the Australian Capital Territory. TCC is formally recognised as the peak community representative body in Tuggeranong representing the interests of the local residents and the communities within Tuggeranong Valley. TCC receives partial funding from the ACT Government as the peak community representative body in the Tuggeranong District.
