The ACT Planning and Land Authority (ACTPLA) are progressing well with a planning and design study for the Tuggeranong and Erindale centres and their connecting transport corridor (Erindale Drive).

We hosted a special public meeting this week and thank the presenters and more than 60 members of the community who came along to hear from ACTPLA, LDA (Land Development Agency) and TAMS (Territory and Municipal Services) with representatives of the organisations facilitating the community consultation.

  1. I would like to see Tuggerongong’s reputation improved. North siders refer to it as worse than Queanbeyan and I feel embarrassed to say I live there at times. Although I know that it is a beautiful place – the infrastructure/design lets us down.
My shopping centre is Erindale although very handy and a major hub it is badly designed, nothing makes sense. Can you please improve this area like the town centres of Jamieson, and dickson. It is really busy and it deserves some attention. I get rather annoyed when I see taxpayers money being spent on the north side only. They may have a bigger population and there maybe more politicans that live on that side – but that does not give the government an open slate to spend more money – everyone knows that Tuggers has been forgotten.
